01 / PROFILE

BETWEEN TWO WORLDS

Curiosity without comfort.

The leader of Squad Twelve and the Research and Development Institute values experimentation above reassurance. Mayuri modifies equipment, studies opponents, and rarely accepts an apparent result without looking for another variable. His working relationship with Nemu raises persistent questions about responsibility, authority, and the limits of scientific ambition.

He makes ingenuity difficult to separate from accountability, inviting appreciation of a clever solution while refusing to let technical success settle the question of how knowledge should be pursued.

02 / THE TECHNIQUES

A signature all their own.

Ashisogi Jizo

Its release uses a specialized substance to interrupt movement rather than relying on strength.

Scientific modifications

Prepared changes to his body and equipment provide highly situation dependent responses.

Kido

Uses spiritual spells alongside laboratory tools when observation suggests a useful application.

03 / THE JOURNEY

Moments that matter.

A working laboratory

His division's unusual equipment makes research visible as a daily practice rather than an occasional supplement to Soul Reaper duties.

A difficult predecessor

His rivalry with Urahara adds professional insecurity to a public manner that otherwise seems almost entirely certain of itself.

03STORY SPOILERAn unplanned result

Nemu's independent decision against Pernida forces him to confront growth that matters precisely because it exceeds his own specifications.
